Where did the name come from?
El Events (pronounced like the letter “L”) came from the Quinn family’s love for generational names. I’m named after four or five family members. I was named Eleanor Lillian Quinn when I was born, but I’ve always gone by Lily. I knew that when I got married I would change my legal first name since I’ve always gone by a shortened version of my middle name. My initials “E.L.” are actually my late grandfather’s name - really, no name, just initials. As a way to honor my grandfather, E.L., my great aunt Ellie, and my great aunt and great grandmother Lillian, I decided to keep those initials as the name of my business.

Wedding Planning
After two years fine tuning the coordination process, El Events grew to offer partial and full wedding planning. With the same goal to organize the day and advocate for the couple, partial and full planning has been a wonderful addition to the work we do. Working with local vendors, networking, and forming relationships are the most special parts of planning.

Month-of Coordination
El Events was born from an accidentally found passion in November 2019. Since then, owner + head planner Lily Quinn-Hendrick began booking weddings by word of mouth or friends of friends. In 2021 El Events was officially launched with the goal to provide a stress-free wedding experience for couples on their special day by taking the reigns, being the point of contact for guests and vendors, and advocating for the couple.
